Mumbai: The Government Pension Fund Global or Norway’s Oil fund bought a stake in e-commerce player IndiaMART InterMESH on Thursday, while Amadeus cut its holdings in the company. Goldman Sachs lapped up shares of specialty chemical maker Rossari Biotech, which made its debut on the bourses.
Among the frontline indices, Sensex rose 0.71 per cent or 268.95 points to close at 38,140.47 points, while peer Nifty climbed 0.74 per cent or 82.85 points to close at 11,215.45 points.
Here’s who bought and sold what in some of the key bulk deals of the day:
>> Norges Bank on account of The Government Pension Fund Global bought 148,920 shares of IndiaMart InterMESH at Rs 2,350 per share. It is the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund.
On the other hand, Amadeus EIII LP and Amadeus IV DPF sold 162,584 and 196,045 shares of the company at Rs 2,381.11 per share and Rs 2,368.03 per share respectively. At the end of June, Amadeus EIII LP and Amadeus IV DPF held 2.06 per cent and 3.05 per cent stake in the company.
>> Goldman Sachs India bought 4,81,443 shares of Rossari Biotech, which made its debut on the bourses, at Rs 692.17 per share. The stock also witnessed several other bulk deals during the day.
>> Makanbhai M Raval HUF bought 30,000 shares of Gian Life at Rs 28.48 per share.
>> James Warren Tea bought 1,00,000 shares of Warren Tea at Rs 44.05 per share, while ISIS Enterprises sold 91,826 shares of the company at Rs 44 per share.
